Someone Else's Stuff
The final episode is a great episode, on par with the earlier seasons. I think it gets a bad reputation because it follows s8e4 (in my opinion the worst episode) and s8e5 (a good episode, but it is dragged down by Euron and Cleganebowl). On its own it has a bunch of great moments. We see the true Daenerys for the first time without any masks. Tyrion finding his siblings is very emotional. Jon going to talk to Tyrion is a great scene with lots of depth to both characters. Dany's death was well executed (no pun intended). After a rewatch I even like Bran becoming king (the reasoning behind it is sound, he can't have children, and therefore there won't be any succesion wars). And the ending is really great.
I think people get stuck on complaining about how the night king should have been the final "boss" rather than Cersei, but they're not understanding that it is Daenerys. It has been built up from the very start, and to see it play out was great.

The final episode of Game of Thrones surely had great impact and opinions on it surely are divided among viewers. While the particulars of this episode has its merits and others disliked it. Here we are going to tackle the main elements that made the episode one to remember.
First and foremost, this episode stands on its own, portraying important events that have a specific meaning for the viewers. The slipping of Daenerys Targaryen's mask, giving us a glimpse of her genuine self without any façade, is a very powerful sequence. Moreover, the emotional reunion between Tyrion Lannister and his siblings will bring you to tears, and it highlights the tight-knit relationships within the family. The dialogue between John and Tyrion, full of details and complexity, is just another spice added to the whole picture. The death of Daenerys, is a highly anticipated scene, it is executed with a great precision and was an impactful moment.
In regards Bran sitting the Iron Throne, the argument for that is actually strong. It is his not having a male heir that guarantees a smooth transition into leadership, hence, keeping the peace from power contestation. Whether this was due to the fact that some fans were pining for the Night King to be the ultimate adversary, or the show had always been heading towards Daenerys as the central force, this shift in direction was clearly a result of an effective storytelling strategy. It was the culmination of her character arc that she went from a liberator to a tyrant. And the audience watched it with both pity and excitement. It is the culmination of the pattern of the series that makes the ending so beautiful and satisfying. It is when the series ends that we realize how much we have been part of it and how each one of us has been transformed by the experience.🐉👑🔥
